St. Joan's Education Society was founded in 1982 to widen access to education for underprivileged people across India. Over four decades that brief has broadened from schooling into vocational training, competitive-exam coaching and entrepreneurship development, but the constituency has stayed the same: rural youth, school dropouts, women returning to work, and candidates from minority and economically disadvantaged communities.
We are the social development arm of the Sachdeva Group of Institutions, whose work in Indian education spans more than eight decades. That connection gives our programmes access to established academic infrastructure, teaching staff and campus facilities — an advantage over training providers that assemble a centre for the duration of a single project and then dissolve it.

Our Approach
Three things distinguish a training programme that produces employment from one that produces certificates.
We train for roles employers are hiring for. Course selection follows sector demand in the region where the centre sits — hospitality and tourism in Goa, healthcare support in Jharkhand, technical trades in the north. Job roles are aligned to national qualification standards so certification carries weight with employers.
Placement is part of the mandate, not an afterthought. Under schemes such as DDU-GKY and PMKVY, placement is measured and reported. On the Nai Manzil project more than 70% of candidates we trained moved into employment or self-employment.
We report honestly to the people funding the work. Government schemes and CSR mandates come with audit requirements, third-party assessment and candidate tracking. We treat that scrutiny as the point of the exercise rather than an administrative burden.
