Blouse-stitching rate rose from ₹25 to ₹400 per piece — at least sixteen times her earlier rate.
Shilpa had been stitching and weaving at home since childhood, learning by practice with no structured guidance. Because she had no way of valuing her own work, she once charged ₹25 to stitch a blouse.
The training gave her tailoring and fitting technique, ribbon embroidery, macramé, bead embroidery and mixed-media craft work. Just as importantly, it gave her the confidence to price her work properly. Within three months her rate had risen to ₹400 and above per piece, and her turnover crossed ₹1,00,000 against less than ₹10,000 before.
She runs the enterprise alone from home, taking orders through word of mouth and WhatsApp, and is now registered under UDYAM as an MSME.
